Canadian Mental Health Association Middlesex Branch (CMHA)
Offers support to adults who have lost a friend or relative to suicide. The Suicide Bereavement Support Group is a peer support group meeting monthly. Registration is not required. The Survivors of Suicide group is a professionally facilitated group offered twice annually for 8 weekly sessions.
Canadian Sudden Arrhythmia Death Syndromes (SADS) Foundation
Provides support, educational resources, research and genealogy information for parents and siblings of children/young adults who are genetically predisposed to sudden death due to cardiac arrhythmia.
Critical Incident Stress Management Team
De-briefing for emergency personnel and groups involved in critical incidents. De-briefings, defusing, demobilizations after traumatic events/critical incidents. Pre-incident education.
Daya Counselling Centre
Daya offers short term individual, couple, and family counselling for ages 16+. We have a particular interest in bereavement counselling and support for the bereaved. Counselling honours the spiritual dimension of life.
Distress Centre
Serving the community for 40 years, our 24/ 7 help line is always available for confidential telephone support if you need a warming, supportive listener. If you are feeling scared, overwhelmed, sad or in crisis our caring, friendly and trained volunteers will help.
Family Service Thames Valley
The Community Counselling Program provides a range of counselling services to London and Middlesex. Services include individual, couple, family, and group counselling. Issues may include: loss/bereavement, separation/divorce, parenting, woman abuse/survivors of sexual abuse.

Hospice of London
Volunteers offer a supportive role during bereavement by telephone/in person. Clients are preferred to be within one year of their loss that is due to a lingering illness rather than a sudden event.
Journey Through Loss
General bereavement support group (currently offered online) for anyone over 18 years of age who has experienced the death of a loved one. The group is open and ongoing, and people may come to the meetings as they need.
London Health Sciences Centre, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Care Program
Individual counselling for children and adolescents with special interest in areas of post trauma, complicated grief, eating disorders, suicide behaviours, mood and anxiety disorders.
London Regional Cancer Program
Individual grief counselling is provided by oncology social workers to family members whose loved one was a patient at the Centre.
New Horizons Support Group
Sponsored by the Roman Catholic Diocese of London, this peer support group is for individuals who have lost a spouse due to separation, divorce or death. Tuesday evenings at 7:30 pm.
Parents and their Children Healing (PATCH)
A 5-week support group for preschoolers/children age 2 to 7 years and their parents/caregiver who have been affected by death.
Parkwood Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, St. Joseph’s Health Care
Provides individual bereavement counselling to family members who have had a loved one die on the Palliative Care Unit, Parkwood Hospital.
Pregnancy And Infant Loss
Offers support to parents who have suffered a miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, medical termination, stillbirth or newborn death. Also offers educational seminars for health care professionals on Perinatal loss. Support groups now serving Woodstock.
Rainbows
A train-the-trainers program for volunteers, teachers, and/or parents involved in elementary and secondary schools. The program prepares participants to facilitate students talking to students about loss, separation, divorce, and death.
Regional Support Associates
Grief counselling for adults 18+ with a developmental disability and their families. Staff training for those working with bereaved individuals who have developmental disabilities. Covering counties of Oxford, London-Middlesex, Elgin, Huron, Perth, Grey and Bruce.
Seniors Help Line
A free and confidential 24 hour-a-day telephone support for seniors and the people who care for them. Need to talk? ……….we listen with HEART. (A service of the London and District Distress Centre).
Serenity House Hospice
We are an organization geared to supporting and providing quality end of life care, for any person(s), for all ages. Support services are not just for the person experiencing end of life challenges, but support for the caregiver, family and after care as well.
Third Age Outreach Program
Offers widows and widowers an educational and social group for bereaved seniors 60+.
University of Western Ontario, Student Health Services
VON Middlesex-Elgin
The Hospice Volunteer Program provides volunteers to support individuals and their families who are facing life threatening or life altering conditions, as well as those who have lost a loved one. Our volunteers provide companionship in the home or hospital, respite support for caregivers, friendship and listening. Our program also provides bereavement support individually or in a group, as well as library resources. The program accepts referrals from individuals, family, friends, medical professionals, and social service agencies. The Program is a free service.
Wellspring
Wellspring offers an 8-week support group to individuals who have lost a loved one to cancer. This group is open to individuals in the London and surrounding areas. Please call for more information or to register.
